Journey
Throughout my 30 years of ministry leadership experience, I have been passionate about leading effectively. My understanding of leadership has been shaped by my experience with ten different organizations including 14 years as Senior Pastor in a local church. In every setting I have been required to lead significant transition, causing me to study leadership, observe other leaders and learn from effective leader-coaches and mentors.
I find great reward in passing on things that I have learned by experience and through effective leaders who have shared their wisdom with me. Along the way I have noticed that the roadblocks to success are often hidden in the design of an organization, or in the unchallenged assumptions of our life-experience. A fresh pair of eyes is needed to find and dislodge them. It’s been my privilege to be those “fresh eyes” for many over the years. Increasingly God is opening doors for me to play that role in both executive coaching and consulting.
